Long Covid needs good on-going multi-disciplinary care
With thousands of New Zealanders still catching Covid-19 every week, cases of long Covid -- or post Covid -- are also mounting. There's lots we still don't know about this condition, but with millions of people world wide reporting similar symptoms in the weeks or months after recovering from the initial infection, it's going to be with us for a long time yet. Although the symptoms vary greatly, they often include breathlessness, aching musles, crippling fatigue and that debilitating "brain fog". One of the few New Zealand researchers who have been studying the condition is infectious disease and respiratory physician Dr Michael Maze.
