The GP of forty years was found guilty of professional misconduct last month for incorrectly prescribing Ritalin and other ADHD drugs. The medicines can only be prescribed by doctors with a recommendation from a psychiatrist or paediatrician. He told Nathan Rarere ADHD can be confused with depression and it is impossible to diagnose in a 15 minute GP consultation.
