To a story about a bridge in the Coromandel, but not a one way road bridge like you might expect. A walking and cycling bridge that would cross the Tairua river between Tairua and Pauanui looks set to get the go ahead. The Hikuai District Trust is behind the Tairua River Trail, which would form a key link in the Coromandel's expanding trail network. Reporter Leonard Powell took a trip down to Taiura to see what the locals make of the project.
