Wednesday rain brings more flooding to sodden AK properties
A second weather bomb in less than a week brought more rain to already sodden properties yesterday. Thousands of people across Auckland finding their homes flooded for a second time. For context, Metservice data shows the Auckland airport weather station recorded more rain on Friday night between 5pm and 9pm than 3 average January rainfalls.. 258mm fell during that 4 hour period alone. But the common thread among those impacted and displaced by the floods is the state of the city's drains.. Reporter Leonard Powell spoke to some of those affected in the suburb of Epsom.
