Karekare residents still have no power, road access

Cut-off residents in the West Auckland beachside settlement of Karekare are counting their blessings despite STILL having no power or road access nine days after the cyclone. Locals are relying on helicopter deliveries for long-life food and fuel for generators. And 16 slips have cut off road access, which is limited to emergency services.
