Coromandel locals fears for roads reopening

Roading contractors will this morning make a call on whether one of the last major roads in and out of the Coromandel can reopen after a large part of it caved in. One lane of State Highway 25 between Whangamata and Hikuai was open for essential travel yesterday before being closed at 6 o'clock last night to allow engineers to assess the damage and carry out repairs. If it can't open, it'll be another huge blow to the already isolated community. Leonard Powell reports.
