Greens call for anti-trans activist to be banned from NZ
Far right protesters gave Nazi salutes as they clashed with trans-rights activists on the streets of Melbourne yesterday. The shocking scenes were sparked by the ongoing speaking tour of controversial activist Kellie-Jay Keen-Minshull, who is also holding events in New Zealand this week. Ms Keen-Minshull, who is known by the pseudonym Posie Parker, describes herself as a women's rights activist, but is mostly known for her opposition to transgender rights. Members of the Green Party have written to Immigration Minister Michael Wood asking for her to be stopped from entering the country. One of the letter's signatories is the party's spokesperson for rainbow communities, Dr Elizabeth Kerekere, and she spoke with Nathan Rarere.
