Northlanders give opinions on Jacinda Ardern's legacy
Former Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern returned to Parliament yesterday for her final farewell before her valedictory speech this afternoon. She became Prime Minister in 2017, leading the country through the 2019 mosque attacks, the Whakaari White Island tragedy and the Covid 19 pandemic. Last night it was revealed she will become New Zealand's special envoy for the Christchurch call.- a global initiative targetting online extremism after the mosque attacks. Her next chapter will also see Jacinda Ardern join Prince William on his Earthshot Prize environment board. Our reporter Leonard Powell asked Northlanders about her legacy.
