Tertiary Education Union on extra govt funding

The government has announced extra funding for universities and tertiary institutions, to help universities get through an unexpected drop in enrolments. The 128-million-dollar increase came after plans for hundreds of job cuts at Otago and Victoria universities. The universities say the money might help avoid some of job cuts, but not all. The government's also announced a review of tertiary education funding. The Tertiary Education Union's National President Dr Julie Douglas spoke with Nathan Rarere.
