Report: housing affordability has dropped over three decades

The Human Rights Commission has just this morning released the final report from its two-year housing inquiry. It shows housing affordability has significantly dropped over the last three decades, and many homes - particularly rental properties - are at risk of making people sick due to mould and dampness. The inquiry also found major breaches of human rights in the emergency housing system... Te Kahui Tika Tangata - the Human Rights Commission - is urging Parliament to make it a law that New Zealanders have the right to a decent home.
