Te Atarangi Whiu on understanding Te Ao Māori

It’s the end of Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori - Māori Language Week. But today we're talking about how te reo Māori isn't the only way to understand the Māori world-view - Te Ao Māori. This has been the focus for a successful programme that Oranga Tamariki has been running. It's called Tū Māia and it gives staff, whānau and tamariki an opportunity to boost their cultural competency. Oranga Tamariki's director of cultural programmes - Te Atarangi Whiu - told Nathan Rarere about Tū Māia.
