The Israeli miltary says it has carried out a significant incursion into the Gaza Strip to attack Hamas positions. An IDF spokesman, says that troops carried out what it called a targeted raid towards central Gaza. Meanwhile, the UN's humanitarian co-ordinator says nowhere in Gaza is safe.
