Small town driving service helps learners get behind the wheel

If you are waiting to sit your restricted or full driver licence in a place like Auckland you might be waiting a while for an open slot. Some frustrated learner drivers say they're waiting up to a year to sit their licence test.

Meanwhile, in the beautiful Hawke's Bay town of Waipukurau, they've got a one-stop shop community driving service helping get people behind the wheel.

Kelly Annand is the general manager at the Connect Community Group, and she's also Central Hawke's Bay Deputy Mayor. She spoke with Nathan Rarere
