Focus on Politics: Coalition parties kiss and make up on immigration
This week the Prime Minister put a stake in the ground on immigration. A change in approach by immigration officials to partnership visas means Indians in particular are having a much harder time bringing their spouses to New Zealand. Up until Wednesday Jacinda Ardern had being fairly quiet publicly about the backlash from the Indian community over the change, while the spat between her Immigration Minister and New Zealand First only got louder.
