Last week it was reported that nearly a quarter of the residents in a study of 15 of Wanganui's 17 rest homes were suffering from malnourishment. It's the latest in a series of disturbing headlines about the state of the nations rest homes. Are the horror stories being reported by the media isolated cases in a large and otherwise adquately run industry, or are they symptomatic of something far more serious? We are joined by Dwayne Crombie, CEO of BUPA, one of New Zealand's largest suppliers of aged care; and Rob Haultain of the New Zealand Nurses Organisation.
