Last week it was reported that nearly a quarter of the residents in a study of 15 of Wanganui's 17 rest homes were suffering from malnourishment. It's the latest in a series of disturbing headlines about the state of the nations rest homes. Are the horror stories being reported by the media isolated cases in a large and otherwise adquately run industry, or are they symptomatic of something far more serious?
