Official figures for Fiji indicate that 360 thousand people  are living in poverty.

That's forty -five percent of the nation's population .

But some social agencies think the real rate maybe much higher.

Philippa Tolley travelled to Fiji to find out what is being done to improve the lives of the nation's poorest.
