Auckland Council and the Government are at a crucial point in their almost three year old relationship.

The Government amalgamated Auckland's eight local bodies  to speed-up how the big issues facing New Zealand’s largest city are tackled.

But having created a political body second-only to Parliament, is the Government now getting in its way?
