It's just over 10 years since Pacific Island peacekeepers led by Australia landed in the Solomon Islands capital Honiara to disarm militants who had brought the country to a virtual standstill.
The Regional Assistance Mission to Solomon Islands or RAMSI began in 2003 after repeated requests for help from the Solomon Islands government to stop an ethnic conflict that killed 200 people and displaced tens of thousands.
Annell Husband investigates how far the country has come in a decade and asks Solomon Islanders what they think about a future without RAMSI.
