10.20 One week since Whakaari White Island erupted
Hundred of people observed a minutes silence at the Te Manuka Tutahi marae in Whakatane, as it was observed throughout the country at 11 minutes past 2 this afternoon - exactly a week since the Whaakari White Island blast.
RNZ reporter Andrew McRae was at the marae and he speaks with Karyn tonight about the events of today and what lies ahead as 26 people are being treated in hospitals in New Zealand and Australia for the extensive injuries they receive, 10 in a critical condition.
