10:20 Emergency evacuation ordered for parts of Wellington's South Coast
Wellington's south coast is on high alert tonight with the mayor Andy Foster ordering an emergency evacuation for the seaside suburb of Breaker Bay that's expected to take the brunt of a southerly swell at high tide at 9pm. Karyn checks in with Jeremy Holmes who's the regional manager for Wellington Region Emergency Management.

10:30 Polar blast is great for locally made whisky
With a foot of snow on the ground, it's not ideal for farming at Lammermoor Station in the Maniototo district of Central Otago, but the sub-zero temperatures are doing wonders at their distillery with its whisky and gin. Karyn catches up with John Elliot as he comes in from the cold tonight.

Did you know we had truffles in New Zealand? Like proper, big, gourmet truffles? Well we do and they're just as hard to find here as they are in France. Gary Grootelaar is the lodge proprietor and chef at The Manse in Maraekākaho in Hawke's Bay and he's in full truffle hunting swing!
