Thousands of dollars have been donated by members of the public to the National Burns Centre at Middlemore Hospital in Auckland after the Whakaari White Island volcanic eruption.

Twenty-five people are still being treated in hospitals around Australia and New Zealand, including nine at Middlemore.

Middlemore Foundation's chief executive, Sandra Geange, talks to Karyn about the donations and how they are being spent to support the patients at the national burns centre.
