10:20 Ecoli found in Karitane water
E coli has been detected in the drinking water network in Karitane north of Dunedin. Karitane is one of three towns on the coast that are still under a 'do not drink' notice after elevated levels of lead were found in the water supply in February. The notice also remains for Waikouaiti and Hawksbury Village. Alasdair Morrison is chairperson of the Waikouaiti Coast community board.
