Hawke's Bay farmer and owner of Tunanui Station, Andrew Russell is dealing with hundreds of feral cats who appear to be dumped domestic pets. For the past 15 years Andrew usually traps about 100 cats annually but this year he has caught more than 400. The cats kill many birds and native lizards in the forest but also spread diseases such as toxoplasmosis.
