Local Government predicts exodus of mayors over new policies

The head of Local Government is predicting an exodus of mayors and elected members as controversial central government policies are turning people off from standing at the elections in October. President of Local Government NZ Stuart Crosby, worries the appeal of representing your community is losing its lustre and we may have trouble attracting people who want to stand.
