How blackcurrants can stave off dementia and strokes

If you're a berry grower in New Zealand, some research into blackcurrants will have you feeling the future is very rosy. A study collaboration between Auckland and Otago universities has found that black currants have high levels of a key brain nutrient that can help stave off dementia and strokes, has opened up a whole new export market. A deal has been struck between a chinese company and an Auckland company, cGP Max. to export more than ten tonnes of an ingredient from black currants that sounds like it's something of a super food.
