There's continued opposition to Waka Kotahi's plan to drop the speed limit on Friday down from 100kms to 80kms on a large stretch of the Napier to Taupo highway, to cut the number of fatal crashes. The Hawke's Bay Regional Transport Committee opposes the speed limit change and wants to see a cost benefit analysis for the decision.
