Hospitality businesses need more government support

The Epidemic Response Committee has been told the Government needs to urgently introduce measures to boost small businesses' cash-flow.

Businesses have highlighted the lack of cash-flow under Alert Level 4 and 3 as one of their biggest hurdles, as many struggle to continue paying overheads and suppliers.

Hospitality New Zealand, which represents about three-thousand businesses across the country, says a survey they conducted this week has found while 78-percent of their members received the wage subsidy, more than 60-percent have still had to make redundancies.
