Forest and Bird say a report released today shows New Zealand's freshwater is "at breaking point".
The report, titled Our Freshwater 2020, was released this morning by the Ministry for the Environment and Stats NZ.
It finds more than three-quarters of Aotearoa's freshwater fish are threatened or at risk of extinction and says climate change is set to make things worse.
Forest and Bird's freshwater advocate Tom Kay speaks to Mani Dunlop.
