The Royal Australasian College of Surgeons is concerned indigenous people will suffer worse health outcomes as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
It says Māori, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples already experience health inequities - and will face them when dealing with the virus, but also when they try seek help for non-Covid illnesses and disease from an already stretched healthcare system.
