Government investment not enough to fix rundown hospitals

From Midday Report, 12:12 pm on 10 June 2020

Senior doctors are disputing the Government's claim it's on track to fix the country's rundown hospitals.

The Government's first nationwide stocktake out today, found many critical care units are not fit for purpose.

Sarah Dalton is the executive director of the senior doctors union, the Association of Salaried Medical specialists.

She told Te Aniwa Hurihanganui that it's a relief that the information is out there but with the state that some of the country's hospitals are in, immediate action is required.
