Wellington Water network struggles to meet demand

Wellington Water is cautioning it will have to impose regular water restrictions, or spend hundreds of millions upgrading the network, unless the region cuts its water use.

A Wellington Water report says it could struggle to meet the region's daily demand as soon as 2026, or if the region experiences a one-in-15 year drought.
