Northlanders are turning out in their thousands to be tested for Covid-19, after a woman in the region tested positive for the virus at the weekend.
Testing stations are open today from Auckland to Kaitaia, after the 56-year-old woman visited about 30 locations across lower Northland - down as far as Helensville - since leaving managed isolation in mid January.
The woman's two closest contacts have both tested negative.
Māni Dunlop spoke to RNZ reporter, Katie Todd, from the Ruakākā testing site.
