Disability advocates are celebrating after the government announced there will be early Kiwisaver access for people with certain life-shortening congenital conditions.
Four conditions were approved - down syndrome, cerebral palsy, Huntington's Disease and fetal alcohol spectrum disorder.
People with those conditions are entitled to withdraw from their fund at a time that is right for them to retire, rather than once they turn 65.
Māni Dunlop spoke to IHC director of advocacy, Trish Grant.
