Rekohu/Chatham Islands receives boost to home ownership

A new papakainga development on Rekohu or Wharekauri will break ground today.

The project is part of a $9-million investment to support whānau Māori into home ownership.

Five new houses are expected on the Chatham Islands by the middle of the year.
