Refugees low priority for vaccines - World Vision
A new global report by World Vision shows the extent of how refugees and displaced people are missing out on Covid-19 vaccinations. It also shows they remain at a far higher risk of contracting Covid-19. World Vision surveyed people in Brazil, Colombia, the DRC, Jordan, Peru, Turkey, Uganda and Venezuela, and only one refugee in every 2000 had received a jab. World leaders at the G7 have pledged to donate one billion vaccines to the world's most vulnerable. World Vision New Zealand's national director Grant Bayldon tells Worldwatch's Max Towle that's a good start.
