America's Cup could go overseas

Team New Zealand could be taking the next America's Cup regatta overseas, because the $100 million in cash and in-kind support on offer was not enough. That money was put forward in confidential negotiations by the government and Auckland Council. Auckland's mayor Phil Goff says the team wanted double that -- $200 million -- which he says would not have been sustainable.
