Prime Minister touring flood-hit Ashburton region

To Mid-Canterbury, where flood-hit farmers and regional leaders are making their case to the Prime Minister for more support and a second bridge, as she tours through the region. The flooding in late May pushed the braided rivers beyond their banks swamping farms, and leaving a trail of stones, silt, muck, and debris. That clean-up continues. Meanwhile, in Ashburton itself, the floodwaters damaged the State Highway One bridge. RNZ reporter Eleisha Foon speaks to Max Towle about what farmers and community leaders are asking for.
