A new record high temperature for the Antarctic continent of 18.3 degrees celsius has been confirmed. The heated temperature was reached in February last year, but has just been validated by the World Meteorological Organisation. The news comes as scientists at home announced a six-month project to re-define New Zealand's "climate normals". Māni Dunlop spoke to climate change scientist Dr James Renwick who says all results of high temperature records around the world are concerning.
