"An absolute shambles with long wait times" is how some people are describing the first morning of the country's first mass vaccination event in Tamaki Makaurau - Auckland.
More than 16,000 people have signed up to get innoculated over the next three days - more than 240 booths have been set up at the Manukau Events Centre, where 12 vaccinators will see one person every 90 seconds.
The director of the event, Matt Hannant, says they are working to clear the backlog and have put on additional staff to help register people more quickly.
Manukau ward councillor, Fa'anana Efeso Collins, spoke to Māni Dunlop.
