Parts of New South Wales and Victoria have been in lockdown for weeks, yet continue to grapple with rising cases. New South Wales set a new record yesterday - with more than 1,000 daily cases - but the state is pushing ahead with easing restrictions for the vaccinated. Professor Tony Blakely is a New Zealand epidemiologist at the University of Melbourne who has supported eliminated strategies. Worldwatch's Perlina Lau asked him whether that was still the case, given the rising infection numbers and the spread of the Delta variant.
