Transpower confused powercos, when power was urgently needed

From Midday Report, 12:42 pm on 10 September 2021

The country's grid operator Transpower is promising to make changes after a report found it contributed to last month's blackouts. The blackouts caused more than 34,000 customers to lose power on one of the coldest nights of the year. The Electricity Authority, which regulates the sector, says Transpower's messaging confused local lines companies about whether they needed to take immediate steps. Business reporter Anan Zaki has been reading the Authority's report, and he spoke to Max Towle.
