Despite restrictions easing on Fiji's mainland, six remote islands have been put on high-alert amid the escalating rise in Covid-19 cases there.
Health teams have been sent to these areas where nearly 800 people are infected with the Delta strain.
Fiji's Government has set a 1 November deadline to reopen the country's borders.
The pressure is now on to contain the spread of the virus and achieve the Government's 80 percent vaccination target.
