Request for Māori vaccination info back in court

From Midday Report, 12:14 pm on 11 November 2021

The Whānau Ora Commissioning Agency is going back to court to try to get the Health Ministry to share data about unvaccinated Māori.

The Commissioning Agency has had its request for the information, which it wants to create a better vaccine rollout for Māori, rejected by the Health Ministry for privacy reasons.

The latest rejection followed a High Court ruling that the Ministry must reconsider its refusal to release the data.

Māni Dunlop spoke to the agency chair, Merepeka Raukawa-Tait.
