Māori make up about half of all Delta community cases

From Midday Report, 12:12 pm on 14 December 2021

Maori account for about 4500 cases in the Delta outbreak.

For two days in a row, there have been no new cases among Pakeha.

Associate Health Minister Peeni Henare says no case is acceptable, and the government was working to improve vaccine coverage.

Covid-19 analyst Dr Rawiri Taonui has confirmed what's been said for months now: the Delta outbreak is a Māori and Pacific outbreak.

Dr Taonui talks to Māni Dunlop about the inequities of the outbreak.
