People who turn up for a Covid-19 test in Auckland or Northland from Monday, might instead be given a Rapid Antigen Test - or RAT - to complete at home.
In a bid to reduce pressure on stretched testing labs. people who meet a particular set of criteria could be given a RAT instead of the regular PCR nasal swab.
