$140 million for Maori and Pasifika fight against Omicron

From Midday Report, 12:45 pm on 22 February 2022

A significant funding boost has been announced for Māori and Pacific health providers, as they step up their response to the Omicron outbreak.

$140 million of new funding was announced by Government Ministers at Nga Whare Waatea in South Auckland this morning.

It comes in addition to the support announced last week for those self-isolating with Covid, and their close contacts.

Māni Dunlop spoke to Māori Development Minister, Willie Jackson.
