A video posted online shows a gun or imitation firearm being held to a student's head during a fight between Otahuhu school students.
It shows multiple people fighting and a participant, who may not be a student, holding what looks to be a gun.
Otahuhu College and its principal have not responded to RNZ's requests for comment. The police haven't responded to questions about the incident.
Manukau Ward Councillor Alf Filipaina has been speaking to the community about the fight, he told Māni Dunlop there's disbelief that it's a real firearm.
