Half-price public transport kicks off today -- it's part of a three month scheme to minimise the effects of high fuel costs, which have spiked since Russia invaded Ukraine.
The Government's Clean Car Discount scheme (aka the ute tax) -- also begins its next phase today -- giving buyers of the lowest carbon dioxide emitting cars rebates of up to $8625 and stinging more polluting vehicles with fees of up to $5175.
