Extra credits available to help students pass NCEA

From Midday Report, 12:17 pm on 10 August 2022

High Schoolers will again get help passing NCEA with extra, 'learning recognition credits' available, to make up for the disruption caused by Covid-19.

Students can receive one learning recognition credit for every five credits that they achieve during the year, up to a maximum of eight credits at levels two and three and ten at level one.

The threshold for University Entrance has also been lowered.

The associate education minister Jan Tinetti spoke to Māni Dunlop.
