Film critics and social media alike are gobsmacked the huge box office hit Barbie has been given a resounding snub in the Oscar nominations.
Its director Greta Gerwig, along with producer and the film's star Margot Robbie have both been left out of the key categories, while Ryan Gosling, who plays the hapless Ken, is up for best supporting actor.
